I am trying to generate a mean center of my populations in the attached and track over months (or season) how that mean center moves over the course of a year for each of the activities I filter on. To explain more, in the attached I have "Gym" selected and all months (and seasons) selected but what I want is to have a mean center of population for whatever I filter on - say Gym in Fall, the Gym in Winter, then Gym in Spring...to see how the mean population center moves.
I have records of the activity, and in most cases I have lat long, but in some cases I have the zip code only (in all cases I have a zip code). Perhaps the generated lat/long might help?
Can someone provide me with a way (perhaps a calculated field) that would do this?

Hi Brian,
I'm taking a stab at this... I grabbed the lat/lon (generated) values for the zip codes by simply exporting the data table from Tableau (attached as a csv), then I joined that table back to the original data and let Tableau average the lat/lon values to give the 'mean center' (this really isn't the perfect mean center, because we're averaging spherical coordinates, but for simple analysis it's probably okay). I didn't do any real sanity checks on the result, but I'm attaching a Tableau (2019.4) workbook so that you can check it out.
