Session Ended by Server

Hi,

 

I am new to tableau and one of our users is receiving an error message "Session Ended by Server" i am trying to find more details but i am not sure as to what log to look at!  It is Tableau server 8.2. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Shawn,

     

    This is a very generic error that could be related to server specification (not enough CPU cores/RAM), permissions, network latency etc. You should open a support case with Tableau's Tech Support to really pinpoint the root cause. Look under "Open a case" in this link Tableau Support FAQ | Tableau Software.

     

    Also, you should serious consider upgrading if you're still on version 8.2.0 as you are 27 versions behind our latest release of v9.0.4. You're missing out on lots of bug fixes, performance improvements, and not to mention security patches. If jumping to version 9 is too much of a leap, consider upgrading to v8's latest release v8.3.8.
