Index Challenged

I have a performance recording workbook attached. In the Events Sorted By Time sheet, I would like a column on the left to serve as a row count for the bars.

I'm trying to use the index function for this, but having a hard trying setting to do what I need. It indicates 1 for each row instead of, 1,2,3 and so on - so it ranks it elapsed time bar going down the chart.

So, a rank column may be a better description of what I'm after by elapsed time in descending order.
