I connected to Impala thru ODBC connection and trying to convert string into date data type.
It shows the message 'DATE' function does not support in Impala. Is there any alternate function which can convert string into date?

Please see snapshot below. The field 'Account Date' is coming as string from Impala. I imported that into Tableau and tried convert to 'Date' data type. It shows me the error below after that.
