For some of our Registrants, when they register to an event it does not create the Summit Event Appointment record which we use to show the Payment Receipt and take them further to proceed with Payment.
This is happening with a live event, any help will be appreciated!

We are running the latest version (38).
For our current summit event Setup, we use appointment types as shown in the screen shot.
Registrants access the Event registration from the linked Instance by clicking the registration link
And once they fill in the initial details and go to the second page, we show them the Appointment type.
Selecting this option creates summit event appointment record.
Which we use to take them to a custom Payment Receipt VF page
