I have a filter for year. Right now, the order is :
1986
1987
1988
1989
......
2015
2016
I hope to convert the year sequence into a descending order
2016
2015
...
1986
1987
1988
1989
I sorted the year in the data pane, but nothing change in my Year filter. Can anyone give some suggestions? Thanks.

Sorry for leaving the questions here and thanks for the help. The solution you proposed did not work to my situation, not sure if it is because of the setting or the version problems. However , I found that you can pull out the year, then " Conver to discrete" and then descending the sequence in the 'Default Properties'>'Sort'>'Desceding'&'Alphabetic'. In this way it works both for the field and filter. If the sequence at field is changed ,it will not affect the sequence in the filter. Hope it helps if someone meets the same problem.
