I was hoping someone could help me figure out how to filter the data to show tif projects within districts where the expenditures are more than revenues? Would this require me to convert the dimension of Type for funding sources into a measure?

    Hi Bianca,

    I believe you want to compare the absolute values of revenues and expenditure is that right?

    I think I may have something which may work for you. I did this by making Revenues and Expenditures as new calculated measures and by using a fixed calculation on district and TIF number.

    Calculation Name: Revenues

    Calculation:

    if [Type (TIF!Funding!Sources!and!Uses!by)] = 'Revenues'

    then ([Amount (TIF!Funding!Sources!and!Uses!by)])

    end

    Calculation Name: Expenditures

    Calculation:

    if [Type (TIF!Funding!Sources!and!Uses!by)] = 'Expenditures'

    then ([Amount (TIF!Funding!Sources!and!Uses!by)])

    end

    Calculation Name: Expenditures > Revenues

    Calculation:

    {FIXED  [TIF Number (TIF!District!Programming)], [TIF District]: abs(sum([Expenditure]))>abs(SUM([Revenue]))}

    Then I bring on measure values to the rows shelf and only have 'Expenditures' and 'Revenues'. Then have Expenditures > Revenues as a filter.

    So when it's true, Expenditure is greater then Revenues.

    Hope that helps!
