Hello everyone,
I am working on creating a vertical barbell chart that displays the salary differences between genders by ethnicity. I have practiced making a barbell chart using World Indicators data, so I understand the process. That data already contains separate measures for males and females (life expectancy). I am wondering how I can take my salary data (one column) and my gender data (one column) and create a Median Male Salary and Median Female Salary measure that I can use to plot in Tableau. I have tried using an IF THEN calculated field but I could not get it to work correctly. I should still be able to plot this by ethnicity once the measures are created.
