Upon inclusion of default except strategy in as Configuration element into global.xml as per the video, and compiling, I get # of messages in the console like: org.mule.exception.CatchMessagingExceptionStrategy: Initialising exception listener: org.mule.exception.CatchMessagingExceptionStrategy
and fails to deploy. Works fine if I remove the global configuration/configuration element. Attached the errors in console log, getflights.xml and global.xml for reference.

Please let me know the unrelated problems you encountered and how to fix it. Maybe, that's the one I'm not able to fix. Exported the project with source and made it available at https://goo.gl/LXcZZF to overcome attachment size limit.
