I tried to do week8 (the final week) of the AnyPoint Essentials Course and as instructed i updated everything. I was completely new to mule when i started the course at the end of july, so the change wasn't too big. Most notebly i went from runtime 3.7.0 to 3.7.1 with this upgrade.
Unfortunately, this update messed up my whole system. Whatever i do, i get ClasspathEntryKind errors. I even deleted my whole workspace (after making a backup) but when i try to import my old essentials project it (also) gives me this error:
An internal error occurred during: "Mule Import".
Could not initialize class org.mule.tooling.core.runtime.sources.ClasspathEntryKind
I tried to google for it, i searched this forum and i've been reinstalling a lot things, but after trying for hours, i'm still stuck with this error and a development environment that no longer works.
I really hope anyone has a suggestion how to fix this, because otherwise i won't be able to complete the course on time :-(
It didn't
In the end i reinstalled a complete VM from scratch. That worked.
or so it seemed..
I downloaded the latest anypoint studio which got shipped with runtime 3.7.2 EE
I'm surprised about the version because the newest in the Install New Software window is 3.7.1
And although my new Anypoint Studio finally boots and loads my project it crashes every 1 or 2 minutes. And sadly, i'm not even exaggerating :-( It is completely useless.
Most of the errors in the log talk about memory issues. for example:
Root exception:
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
at java.util.zip.Inflater.inflateBytes(Native Method)
I gave this VM even more memory then i did others, and i even modified the anypoint studio ini to give java more memory.
It feels like a leak in the software. Could it be this runtime version is buggy? Since it's not even listed in the software-list
