We need to verify the size of incoming requests to a MuleSoft API and block any requests that exceed a specified size.
We understand that this could be achieved with a policy, but we couldn't find an existing one in API Manager or Exchange. Could this be implemented by creating a custom policy?
Has anyone encountered this requirement before? If so, how did you solve it?

Can you not use Dataweave ? For example there is a function called "sizeOf(payload)" which returns you the size of the payload.
