Is this the place to ask about the standard Splits functionality?

Is there a reason why when OpportunityProductLines are added to an Opportunity that the standard Splits component does not populate with Team Member, Split Percentage and Amount? See screenshot.

As soon as you Edit the Product Splits (make no adjustments) and Save the Team Member, Split Percentage and Amount is then populated. See screenshot:
