The Apex Language Server, shipped as part of the Salesforce Apex Extension for VS Code, depends on the Java Platform, Standard Edition Development Kit (JDK). It requires an installation of either JDK version 17 (Recommended),

Install the  JDK 17.. verison and do the below steps

Open Visual Studio and click on the settings symbol located at the bottom right

after you can type Apex on the search bar and place the path below as per mentioned screenshot
