Hi all, 

We are in the process of implementing Salesforce. We sell products to multiple companies. Some of these company could be representaed as ship which is registered as a legal entity. In these where ships are legal entities, the ships will be created an account, but in other cases it is just a location where our products are installed.

How do we best show the relationship being the opportunities and the ships/locations? We want to stay away from creating all ships/location as an account because there could be 100's of thousands of them. 

 

Any good ideas on how to set this up?

    Hi,

     

    I think you can use a Custom Object to store Ships as Locations and then relate the same with Products and Opportunities based on the business requirements.
