If we enable history tracking for whoId(Name) and WhatId(Related to) in history object we see two entries for below mentioned scenario:

WhoId : Victim Contact04042023
New Value
WhoId: Stella Pavlova
History tracking showing as below
I have no active trigger or flows or any other automation on task object. Not sure why this is happening for these two fields. for other field such as "assigned To" its directly shows as below which is i think is easy to understand from user stands point. I did not see any specific documentation for WhoId and WhatId history tracking. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Just spit-balling, but since Actvitity:Name (WhoId) is a polymorphic field the Activity could have been originally connected to a Lead and that Lead could have been merged with another Lead, or converted to an existing Contact or a new Contact
