After entering the verification code for Samantha i get the error that something went wrong with your registration
Had previously submitted the question with no help provided, deleted the old question and resubmitting hoping for help,
i have already redone the Module several times in completely new playgrounds
The email option didn’t work (I’m not sure why—I spent half a day debugging with no luck). So, I switched the email verification to SMS and tried with Samantha, which worked. After that, I updated the contact first name Samantha and then Sarah, clicked to verify the trail, and passed.
Thats what i had assumed as well but since the original signup for "Samantha" doesnt work and does not request for a password via the Sign up Page, there is no User of Samantha that exists yet, let alone Password for Samanthas account
The Salesforce Temporary user was never created as the verification failed.
The Sign up for the user account only requires a name and email as in the module
I am having this issue as well.
After signing up Samantha with first name and email, it says it's sent a verification code to the specified email, but I never get it. Even when I request for the code to be resent, still nothing.
I wonder if you found any helpful solutions?
I am still experiencing the same issue as originally listed, please let me know if you require any further information

Thanks for the response but,
Technically the issue is happening in an incognito browser which means that the history cache and cookies are not an issue
@Keiji Otsubo For the password were you referring to the password of the playground or the password of "Samantha"'s user account?

Found my answer - my passwod was lacking required characters. Passwords should follow the typical Salesforce password policy
- A password must contain at least eight characters, including one alphabetic character and one number.

Please try this step. Logout from trailhead. Clear all browser history, cache & cookies. Again login and launch the playground then do this same process. If same issue happens then try with different browser.
Note: don't stick with one browser. Always check with every browser.
