Hi Community,

I didn't really find in my research if you can include Prospect Account Fields in Pardot Forms so that the prospect is able to change the value. I have read that you can include it via the HTML code.

Can anyone confirm this or have another solution for it?

    Hi @Gustav Onken

Pardot Forms can utilize only Prospect fields - no other field type is supported (Account, Opportunity or Custom Object Fields) as the Pardot connector cannot write to objects other than Contact or Lead. Although you could vote for this idea on the IdeaExchange, an existing post states:

Thank you for your continued voting on this idea. Accounts are seen as the source of truth in the Salesforce-Pardot integration and it is controlled via a one-way sync. As only a one-way sync exists, updates made on the Pardot side would be overwritten subsequently after they were updated. As this is the case, this particular Idea will be closed.

More info here on Point #3 from The Drip:

“When building Pardot forms, you will quickly notice that only Prospect Fields are available to choose from. This means that you cannot use Prospect Account, Opportunity, or custom object fields. Although frustrating, it does make sense when you consider how complex the data model is between prospects and all the related objects.

Note: If you do need forms to create/update related records, there are options available on the Salesforce AppExchange, here’s an example.“
