Hello Everyone,

I have encountered a use case where I want to override the product selection rule.

Currently, I have a rule that is adding a product on the basis of other products selected in the configuration. But users also need the ability to change the added product (added from the product rule) with some other product. As per my experience, it will not allow you to change unless the condition is not met.

Is there any possible workaround for this? Or any other way someone has handled this scenario?

Thanks In advance,

Well after some testing in a sandbox you can get really close to the functionality you're looking for with 2 product rules. However, there are always a few gotcha's and I don't think you'll ever get it perfect. My recommendation is find another way to address the business use case without using product selection rules. Maybe an alert rule or validation rule telling the reps to manually select between options A or B, possibly different ones to let the reps they've crossed a selection threshold and would normally be going with B over A.

    Hope this helped some,

    Cheers!
