Can somebody explain to me the difference in the two certifications listed above. Also how are they related?

Salesforce Administrator deals specifically with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud products. It asks general questions about the platform configuration, automation, etc.
Marketing Cloud Administrator deals with Marketing Cloud. That is a different tool (formerly known as ExactTarget) that deals with marketing automation. That exam also asks questions about configuration and automation capabilities, but is specific to the Marketing Cloud platform.
