Hi all,

I hope to find here Outlook Integratio experts and not just Community users copying and pasting links without knowing what I am talking about ;).

I have a pair questions:

  • For all the ones who had experienced with the use of Einstein Activity Capture, do you recommend using it? if not, why not? which are the limitations?
  • If Einstein Activity Capture is needed, I would like to know which server I should choose when coming to the step in the screenshot below. We would like to integrate Outlook with Salesforce, but I am not sure if the option Microsoft Office 365 would be the right one or Microsoft Exchange

I would appreciate answers from experts here :).

What do I have to choose for Outlook Integration with Einstein Activity Capture?

    Hi @Lena Wong

    1. You can refer to the EAC considerations article before setting it up.

    2. Before choosing the connection method for EAC, you should check with your IT team/email service provider on what email server your company is using. Only then you need to choose between Office365/Exchange/Gmail. Please go through the below article with your IT team to be sure that you meet the EAC system requirements

To answer you other question: EAC is cloud based integration, so it does not matter which laptop you are using to configure it. You just need to make sure that you use you own email address to configure it.

    Hope this helps!!
