Not able to implement Popular Search. Please advise

Hi All I have been trying to have a popular search(in search window/dropdown) on my SFRA site(home page) but when I debugged getPopularSearchPhrases() method returns empty object .. what should I tweak in BM to have getPopularSearchPhrase returns some content .. please advise
