Planning to migrate all leads/contacts from hubspot to SF from where they will sync into Pardot. Any specific precaution we should take or any specific step to keep in mind apart from making sure that we have all the fields in SF and Pardot which are there in hubspot?

I’ve done a HubSpot to Salesforce to Pardot migration, and the biggest risks weren’t missing fields but sync logic and ownership rules.

First, define your system of truth before you load anything. Decide whether Salesforce or Pardot controls lifecycle stage, opt-in status, and lead source going forward. If you don’t align that upfront, you’ll end up with sync loops or unexpected overwrites once the connector is active.

Second, review validation rules, required fields, and duplicate rules in Salesforce. HubSpot often allows records that Salesforce will reject, and those failures can quietly block sync to Pardot.

Also, be careful with email opt-in/consent fields. Map them explicitly and test with a small batch before full migration. In our case, we staged the data first and used Skyvia to control the load order and field mapping so we could validate in phases instead of pushing everything at once.
