Hello everyone,

My name is Levi Grimm and I am from JEE Foods in Hamilton, Ohio. We are a hybrid of a food bank and a food rescue organization. JEE Foods is run entirely by high school students as well. We are just entering our second year in operation and are looking to move our operations into the cloud. We have signed up for Salesforce, but we don't know where to begin. What do you recommend? We are looking for an efficient way to manage our clients and volunteers. Thank you!

My organization has a fleet of 14 trucks, runs a warehouse that has over 30 million pounds of food, and manages a network of 250 partners (that are all pretty similar to JEE Foods). We are also a member of the Feeding America network.

We use Salesforce for Volunteer management and partnership management. PantryTrak and Link2Feed are the solutions we use to track the registration and intake of the people we serve when we hand them food. Most Ohio organizations use Pantry Trak for this purpose. Have you connected with any of these organizations: http://www.ohiofoodbanks.org/foodbanks/?

Besides @Dave Boyce's suggestion it seems to me that your biggest value of using Salesforce is tracking your food donations and how you use those donations. I am not aware of anything that would give you a great starting point for that though.
