I have been tasked by our CEO to collect examples of organization-level dashboards. As a quick background, we are nonprofit focused primarily on workforce development, supporting veterans, individuals living with disabilities, and individuals facing economic disadvantages. Our overall goal is to construct a dashboard that helps our organization stay on track, share successes/progress, and communicate the state of the organization effectively. We are interested in seeing examples of dashboards/charts/metrics that have helped other organizations accomplish this. Our hope is that we (and others as well) are able to see some examples that spark "Aha" moments. All too often we get caught up in the way we always do things so we are using this time to cast a wide net and open ourselves up to new ideas.
In summary, it would be fantastic to start a conversation on those metrics, charts, and/or dashboards that are truly effective in driving outcomes at your organization. Although we focus on workforce development, we would love to see examples from organizations with missions that are different than ours. Please take care to hide/remove sensitive info.
Thanks in advance!
I'd recommend having your CEO shut their computer and figure out what questions they need answered to know how they're effectively doing their job and running your programs. Based on what they come back with you can go dig into the data and produce the information (dashboards) they need.
