Hi everyone,
We're a Local United Way and we use the NPSP. We manage several different business operations and projects that need to be managed in a different way than is done with our regular business operations.
To address the problem, I've been working to create a new campaign page layout, and I'd like to keep it under a different type of parent campaign so I can customize it more to suit our needs for the specific project. I cloned our parent campaign as a new record type, and I'm not having trouble creating a campaign within that record type. The trouble is getting a new child campaign to recognize it as a parent campaign, as when I try to connect a child campaign to the new parent campaign, it won't even appear as an option.
I'm thinking there may be a problem with the lookup relationship between the new parent and child campaigns, but I'm not able to edit or create those, as far as I can see. Has anyone else had this problem? Maybe there's some kind of permissions issue?
@D'Arcy White is the only thing that separates findable campaigns and non-findable campaigns the record type of the campaign?
Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that it is possible to filter lookup search results (what you see when you enter text into the parent campaign box are lookup search results) and someone may have set up a filter to help weed out non-applicable campaigns and that filter is also weeding out the campaign you are looking for. There might be something else going on, but that would be the first place that I would check.
