Yesterday our community had about 1k new users that are obviously spam users that came in through our self-registration portal.

Did anyone else with a community experience this yesterday?

    @Nancy Everest​ right - the user records cannot be deleted. You need to de-activate them (isactive flag) and remove access to the portal (isportalenabled flag). Then you can clear the relationship field on the user record to the SPAM contact record, then the SPAM contact record can be deleted. We were dealing with 4-5K records so it was important to get them out of the contact list.
