I'd love some insight on something I am trying to build.
Next due date- I am building a custom object to handle due dates for foundations, when the due dates are pretty standard every year. But the due dates have to do with the cycle of the foundation, where you can have between 1 to 4 different do dates in one year. On the other hand, you can have a foundation with an arbitrary dead line that changes every year.
So my question is, can I build an object where I can choose with a dropdown if it is arbitrary, 1 yearly cycle or multiple cycles and according to what was chosen, different fields will be presented in the object?
Ultimately, I want to create a process which will auto fill a field called Next due date so my user can get reminders of upcoming due dates.

Hi @Jacob Geerlings thanks so much for your answer. When we first started out with NPSP we used the Deliverables object, but found it really didn't answer our needs. But I will re visit that. I'll also look into what you suggested.
