I am trying to set up a mailing label template for a merge from Apsona to Excel. According to the tutorial, I am supposed to set up the tags this way:
«Mailing_Label»
«Residential_Address»
«Mailing_Label»
«Residential_Address»
Et cetera for each of the cells. According to the video, that should generate labels for each row in the report. However, mailing labels merges are generating pages that have all the same row from the report.
According to Excel/Word standards, including the <<Next Record>> tag should make the merge proceed to the next row, so that you can have labels for multiple people on the same page. When I ran a template with the <<Next Record>> tag, the merge doesn’t work. The merge dialogue recognizes the tag as a field that needs to be connected to a field in the report.
I also tried exporting to CSV and XLS and merging from that, but the addresses don’t translate correctly in the export.
Is there a step that I am missing?
@Nonprofit Get Started Hub@Apsona for SalesforceI tried both. I got an XML error message on the mailing label merge. The Address field in the report includes the </b> tag, which is probably triggering the error.
