The organization I’m working with has only recently begun the process of adopting Salesforce. They have imported contacts from staff members’ gmail accounts. Many of the resulting records are only tied to placeholder business accounts (“unknown company”), although in many instances the employer is indicated within their email address. There are duplications and misspellings.
There are over 14000 of these contacts in this system that need to be corrected. Which apps might be best suited for speeding up this purpose? I've heard good things about Demand Tools. Are there any apps that can connect email addresses to employers?

If these are business addresses, you can connect them by extracting the email domain using a formula field and then matching that to website domain that you enter on the account. Ringlead is another possibility with such a large data set.
