Hi @John Glossinger If you were starting out fresh with @Nonprofit Success Pack today, and with all other things being equal, we would recommend you use the Household Account model. That said, if you are already up and running and configured on the One to One Account model and it's working for you, there is no one that will say you must switch and there is absolutely no timeline to switch. NPSP supports all 3 account models (https://powerofus.force.com/articles/Resource/NPSP-What-is-an-Account-Model )
If you only have 2200 contacts and you haven't heavily customized your instance, the conversion might be easy for you. It varies from org to org.
If you don't switch there are some NPSP features that won't be available to you, most specifically address management -
https://powerofus.force.com/articles/Resource/NPSP-Add-Addresses-to-a-HouseholdBut nothing you're currently using/doing will stop working because you're not using the Household Account model.
P.S. We do however recommend you upgrade to NPSP 3 if you haven't already. There are bugs and issues in NPSP 2 and earlier that are only fixed in NPSP 3. But you don't have to change your account model to upgrade.
