My Salesforce is set up with a custom field called Business Unit to distinguish two different divisions of the company.  I have prospects that are customers for both Business Unit 1 and Business Unit 2.  The Contact is coded to Business Unit 1 since the field can only have one value.

I need to pull in the prospect into Pardot for a campaign for Business Unit 2. How would I do this?  I can't select each individual prospect every time I want to send an email.

This isn't the case of duplicate emails exactly because in this case I have the exact same name and email address for each Business Unit.  We don't want duplicate Contacts (1 for Business Unit 1 and 1 for Business Unit 2).

The suggestion we have come up with so far is to create an additional custom field that we can use on the Contact records.  Then we add that value for all Contacts that are part of Business Unit 1 and Business Unit 2 then we can use that field to pull the records into Pardot.  Does that makes sense?  Are we missing a detail or another option on handling this situation? #Pardot B2b Marketing Automation
