Hi everyone,

Prospect mailability: Do not email vs opted out fields

I'm trying to workout what is the key difference between Do Not Email and Opted Out with the new prospect mailability feature?

It used to be that if Do Not Email was True and Opted Out was false then the prospect could not receive operational emails or autoresponder emails. Is this still the case even though the mailability status now states 'Transactional Emails Only'.

I found this article in Salesforce Help but unsure if it's correct in line with the new feature https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=sf.pardot_operational_email_flags.htm&type=5

Thanks,

Cat

I've been following up on this question with Pardot support. With the prospect mailability feature the fields are no longer interlinked and if either field states True then the prospect is flagged as Mailable, Transactional Email Only. Transactional emails are operational, non promotional emails. No autoresponders will be delivered to any prospect where Do Not Email or Opted Out is True.
