We have a need to display a link to external data within the Related Quick Links. We get the data through an API call and I was just wondering if a link in the related quick links could trigger the API call. Or does the data have to exist in the app to be included in a quick link?

Hi Nick,
It would depend on how your API works, but normally a single link isn't enough to trigger an API call or expose data. It sounds like you may need an SSO solution for your Salesforce users to be redirected to the external system to view the data, or alternatively, a component on Salesforce that can fetch the data that you need on demand. Either way, you'll need to speak to whomever created the integration.
