Working on this module "Import and Export with Data Management Tools" and encounter such error message " Step not yet complete in Trailhead Playground,

The 'Lead' records from the CSV were not found. Please check the instructions."

 

I've checked Today Created Lead list view, only 36 records available but on the csv file we have 44 records, 8 are missing, may I know how to fix this?

    Thanks Adityan and Biren! I've found the solution - I added extra column on the csv file with the title "Lead" (Not ''Lead Source" because it will not let you passed) and insert "Web" for the 44 records, upsert the data then map the "Lead" with ''Lead Source" in Data Import Wizard - it works!

    Simply went to Setup > Mass Delete Records > Mass Delete Leads

    Filtered by Created Date equals (date in DD/MM/YYYY format - maybe could be different as per your selected region) and deleted all records.

    Then I took again the process making sure to follow correctly step 5.

    Here is what I did to solve this problem:

     

    1 - I added a LEAD column as suggested above, but left it unmapped on Data Wizard;

    2 - Opened the file on notes to replace all semicolons to commas;

    3 - Changed the locale to English (United States)

    3 - Used another playground to do the procedure again and validate the challenge

    delete all the leads from "mass lead delete" and import the lead freshly it will work in my case.

    You could check your organization's default locale setting in "Company Information".  Change your company's default locale setting to English (USA).  

    If that's how it is already, then try to use a new playground to do the data-load.  There could be few conflicting components which might have the records from getting loaded

    I've just done it! 3h later...

    I tried all suggestions that I found online but nothing worked.

    So I opened the CSV file on notes and saw that the values were separated by ";" instead of ",". So I changed them all manually.

    I hope it helps someone.

    Hello, I  have the same issue, module: 

    1. Import and Export with Data Management Tools > Use the Data Import Wizard

    The  message is: "The 'Lead' records from the CSV were not found. Please check the instructions."

     

    I tried several times, I changed the regional configuration of the excel file, I tried to add the "Lead" Column to excel file, I don't know, I received the email "Salesforce import of "Leads Import.csv" has finished. 44 rows were processed" and I also saw the 44 records on Leads Object. 

     

    If you have some ideas, please share it.. Thank you!

    @Raza Sumrani of all the suggested solutions above this is the only one that worked for me. New playground and it went without a hitch. Problem is in the real world you cannot just start a new Salesforce org, so I am still curious as to what the actual issue is.
