I have a report that pulls in contacts based on the following requirements:

Contact showing in report because of field in previous record type

There is a contact being pulled into this report even though she doesn't fit the last part of the requirements (6 or 7 or 8). In the report it looks like she is checked as a Luxe CC Contact, but her contact record type has been changed to one that doesn't even have these fields available.

It looks like she is being pulled in based on the fields she had checked in her previous record type. I think I might have to change her record type back to what it was, uncheck Luxe CC Contact and then switch her back to her current record type to prevent her from being pulled into the report. However, I just don't understand why she is currently being pulled into the report and continues to have Luxe CC Contact checked even though it is not a field that is available on her current contact record type. Any ideas?

    Hi Claire,

In this case, the field is not displayed on the contact record because of the page layout assignment for that record type, which sounds like it is working the way you want it to. When a field is not dipslayed on a page layout for a record, the data in that field is not deleted. There are two ways to remove this contact (and any that meet the same criteria) from this report.

    1. You can do as you suggested and switch the record type, uncheck the field, and then swith the record type back.

    2. You can add a filter to your report to exlude certain Contact record types or include them depending on what makes sense for the purpose of this report. I would recommend using this method if you plan to run this report again. It will avoid unwanted Contact records from showing in future runs of the report.
