Email template HTML format issues with Outlook

Question

The email template we're using in HTML format uses tabs to better display words and phrases in the email body. However, when the email was sent to the recipient, it worked fine in Gmail but in Outlook, it removed the tabs.

Anyone had the same issue before and how were you able to resolve it? Or is this an existing Known Issue?

It looked like this in Gmail:
