Hi there,

I'm doing customer journey analytics and use the report type "Leads with converted lead info" to analyze when a lead was created, converted to a contact and ultimately an OPP closed won.

When running the report for leads created "all time" I expect all OPPs to show up that have a converted lead assigned to it. But this is not the case. I now found this explanation https://success.salesforce.com/answers?id=9063A000000Zm3qQAC which basically says "Only if an OPP is created directly in the lead -> contact conversion process" this OPP will be assigned to this lead and will show up in the report.

Is that true? Can anybody help me please?

Thanks a lot, Jan

Converted leads (best I can surmise) are their own hidden object/record type that is related to the original lead.  The conversion process also relates that hidden converted lead with the new records created upon conversion.  I'm not aware of any way to relate a new opp to a converted lead after conversion.  I'm not sure how accurate my description of the architecture is, but functionally, that's how it seems to work.
