I've created the following Roles and assigned users to them.

 

Roles:

 

1. Data Services

 

2. Account Management

 

3. Sales

 

4. Operations

 

On the Opportuntiy page, I have a custom lookup field called 'Ops Leads' .

 

I want the following to be accomplished:

 

1. ONLY account management should be able to look up the 'Ops Leads' look up field.

 

2. Once Account Management looks up the Ops Lead - say Sean

 

3. Sean should be the Opportunity Owner.

 

I had acocmplished this using workflow rules and creating profiles. But I am moving away from Porfiles and setting up users in Roles.

 

Please help.
