I need to do a field update between two objects that are attached via a lookup. The user enters a date in field 1 on the child object and I need to copy that date to field one of the parent object. Can I do this with both Process Builder and Work Flows? I have tried both and I cannot get it to update. I have used process builder in a similar manner in the past but those two objects were master-detail related. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Daniel,
As the object is related by a look up relationship, Process Builder will work but Workflow will not work.
