We have two different types of opportunities that we need to track. 1 - An actual opportunity for the end-user to purchase our product and 2 - An opportunity where we are going to give the end-user a product to try out. Each of these opportunities have unique fields that will be required. Is there a way to set up two different page layouts that all of the users can use based on which type of opportunity they will be working on? We can do it on a single page layout but then the page layout becomes very cluttered and our sales reps are getting confused on what needs to be filled out.

    Do you have 2 record types created on your opportunity object? Each Record type can have its own page layout. If you have not enabled Record types for opportunites I would be careful in doing so beacuse existing triggers, classes, workflow rules may not work as expected with the creation of new record types.
