I'm running an Internship program and I have a need to create a checklist that is both for my users and to pass on to the students in the internship program. Some of the items on a checklist would be determined by fields in Accounts (like they need to be vaccinated) and some would be based on the contact specifically (a Supervisor has specific requirements for the students they take on). Not sure exactly how to do this.

    You could consider storing the information in a custom object "checklist items".  Depending on the complexity of the checklist, you might be able to use process builder to create all your checklist items related to the contact based on the requirements.
