The generation prompt takes in the passwords in plain text and saves them in encrypted format in the .cfg file. You should not add plain passwords in the .cfg file. If you are still getting errors that it's unable to read the passwords, make sure the generation is happening on the same server as where the bridge is running. If it still can't read the passwords, maybe get some IBM help.
