Knowledge base using Topics?

Question

Can someone give me an example or two of a knowledge base that is using knowledge Topics that I can look at? We currently use data categories and navigational topics, but have a custom hierarchy of categories that our articles are mapped to.  I'd like to simplify and improve search and think Topics might be the way to go.
