Periodically my users need to send an email to an Annual Conference distribution group in Outlook but once the group distribution list is created, will any changes to the Salesforce contact record automatically update the distribution list in Outlook?

We don’t want users accessing our email marketing app so these emails can’t go through Emma.  I’m looking for an alternative and more efficient way to send emails from Outlook rather than running a Salesforce report every time and then the users need to copy/paste email addresses into Outlook.

Since there are about 3000 contacts in this distribution, I’m running into bulk email limits in salesforce on almost any alterative I look at.

I haven’t implemented Lighting for Outlook yet and I’m not sure if that’s a solution.

Any suggestions on workarounds, apps, etc., greatly appreciated.  Idea is to make it as simple as possible for my end users…

Thanks.

    Hi Karen

Did you try Salesforce for outlook ? You can sycn contacts between Salesforce and outlook.

    https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=outlookcrm_install.htm&language=en_US&type=0

Just make sure the correct syn settings are provided (Setup -> Desktop Administration -> Outlook Configurations). You can create one for System admins only and specify contact sync direction as "Salesforce to Outlook" and conflict behaviour as "Salesforce always wins"

    Hope this helps !!!

    Thanks
