I am soooo frustrated, and I fear the worst b/c I've talked to support 3 times, and they tell me this is IMPOSSIBLE in SFDC.  Ugh.  But...I'm one not to give up easy and believe ANYthing is possible.  Especially because I'd imagine this is a very common request/requirement.

I often will have one lead generate multiple opportunities.  I convert the lead to an opportunity and then clone that opportunity to create a 2nd, 3rd, 4th opportunity.  When I report it, I'd want to see just that.  In campaign X, I had one lead generate 4 opportunities.

However, there are no means for me to create a report that shows me - by campaign - the leads of that campaign, the status of those leads, the opportunities corresponding to converting those leads, their status....AND additional rows for opportunities existing within the campaign that didn't generate from converting a specific lead.  (ideally, I could specify on the opportunity the lead it came from...but understand that SFDC might have internal limitations that won't allow that).

Your help is appreciated!!

That is correct, Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities that were not originally Leads would be excluded based on this report type.   To resolve this you would have to enforce a data quality standard that all New Accounts are entered as Leads first, and converted.  Accounts would never be entered directly without going through the conversion process.  This may seem unusual, but it would solve your reporting problem in the long run.

There are also several advantages to using the Lead object to enter all Accounts.  For example, from a Lead you can Create an Account, Contact, and Opportuntiy in one shot.  Compare this to creating the records one at a time by going direct.

I see where Salesforce Support has hit roadblocks trying to satisfy this reporting requirement.  You question seems to be very Campaign-Lead-Centric, but in reality you are looking for more than that.

I will see if there are any other methods.
