for example.
Parent - The below products make up the cost price and the sales price is calculated using a markup % from this cost
- Cost 1 = £1 per unit
- Cost 2 = £2 per unit
- Cost 3 = £10,000 fixed fee
So lets say we have 500 units, we would therefore have:
500 * £1 = £1000
500 * £2 = £2000
£10,000 fixed fee = £10,000
Total cost woul dbe £13,000, applying a markup % (100%) so its £26,000/500 = £52 per unit. The percentage markup would only be applied to the parent product and teh child products would be 'hidden'.
Any advice welcome
Hi Alastair, it doesn't look as though we can roll-up cost products the same way we can roll up list products. My initial thought would be to use the "bundled" checkbox on the Product Option but that doesn't appear to be an option.
This is the closest I can get:
Pricing Method = Cost for all of these products, pricebook entries of $0.
Cost Parent: $0 Cost
Cost 1: Option Type = Component, Cost $1, Selected = True, Quote Line Visibility = Line Editor
Cost 2: Option Type = Component, Cost $2, Selected = True, Quote Line Visibility = Line Editor
Cost 3: Option Type = Accessory, Cost $10000, Selected = True, Quote Line Visibility = Line EditorThen if we look at the
"Package Total" field on the parent Quote Line we can see an accurate representation of the package price. If we want to mark up at the package level, we'll only be able to do it with an amount, but we'll want to divide that amount by the quantity of the quote line so we don't get an exponentially larger total. See the screenshot. Hope this helps.
This is me applying a 100% markup: the package total is $11500 intitially. Qty is 500. 11500/500= $23 per unit. So $23 markup is effectively a 100% markup.
