I would like to make it so that some users cannot choose the Closed case status, but am having a difficult time doing this. Is there a way?

    Hi Jenna,

     

    The Case Status picklist values for different RecordTypes are controlled through the Support process.

     

    Go to Setup > Support processes > Edit the appropriate support process and add the picklist values that you want to made available here.

     

    Then associate this process with the appropriate RecordType in your RecordType settings.

     

    That should do the trick !
