OK. It doesnt look like the link works in in a custom template. But, it will work if you do a HTML template. Just so a blank letterhead, and you should get the same result. When you want to do a hyperlink, type the text you want to display and click the link button in formatting options and put the link there.
You will need to get rid of the HTML in your template. I tried it out this morning, and it looks like that will work. See below:
For example, I typed "Leave Feedback", highlighted it, and clicked the hyperlink button, and pasted in the long URL for feedback
