Field missing in page layout

I am in the process of making a few fields required on the Opportunity page and when I go to the Opportunity page layout, one of the fields is not there to make it required.  The field is "Account Status", I have checked on the Account layout as well as Field Accessibility and can't find it anywhere.

    Hi Lance,

     

    ​Please check

    • If there are Record Types on your Opportunity
    • Check the Field visibility
    • Check if the Page is a custom visualforce page
    • Check the list of fields available on your Opportunity Object [Setup > Customize > Opportunities > Fields]
