When the web-to-lead forms fires, Salesforce is treated as a referral site and a new session is generated?

Google Analytics is registering the web-to-lead submissions as a new session and giving credit to SalesForce as a referral site.

 

Ths is not happening consistently but enough to warrant concern.

    wouldn't that also exclude the original source? can you please explain how would excluding the last referral reveal the original source?
